UK Joining Criteria

Two routes to verified membership.

The UK stunt industry is unique in having several long-established professional organisations that represent stunt performers and maintain industry standards. StuntConnect fully recognises and respects the contribution these organisations make to the profession. Our aim is not to replace them, but to complement them — a modern, searchable global platform for the stunt community.

Our membership verification process is built around a principle recognised by the Health and Safety Executive: that professional competence is developed through a combination of Knowledge, Understanding, Training and Experience — KUTE. StuntConnect is not a qualification or certification body, and we don't believe competence can be demonstrated through a single criterion alone. It's developed through ongoing learning, professional training, and — most importantly — experience gained working under the supervision of experienced stunt coordinators. Our joining criteria are designed around these principles, while ensuring every member has been appropriately vetted.

To join as a UK-based stunt performer

Applicants must qualify via one of two routes.

Preferred

Route 1 — Recognised UK Stunt Organisation

Applicants must be a current member of one of the following recognised UK organisations:

British Stunt Register (BSR)
The Stunt Guild
and
Verify their identity before their profile is approved
Membership of these organisations demonstrates the applicant has already completed an established industry entry pathway and has been accepted by a recognised UK stunt organisation.
Alternative route

Route 2 — Professional Experience Route

Applicants who are not members of one of the recognised UK organisations may still apply by demonstrating substantial professional experience. Applicants must provide:

Evidence of 10 professional stunt contracts, within 2 years of the application date
A written letter of recommendation from a stunt coordinator who has directly supervised their work
A link to a showreel of their work
Verification of identity
Applications submitted under this route are individually reviewed before approval. This route acknowledges that professional competence can also be demonstrated through extensive industry experience together with endorsement from an experienced stunt coordinator — reflecting the KUTE principles above.
Why two routes?

Not a qualification. Just appropriate vetting.

StuntConnect is not a qualification or certification. Our objective is to ensure every member has been appropriately vetted before joining the platform. Where an applicant has already been vetted through membership of a recognised UK stunt organisation, we acknowledge that process. For applicants who are not members of one of these organisations, we provide an alternative verification route based on substantial documented professional experience together with an endorsement from an experienced stunt coordinator.

We recognise existing pathways

BSR and Stunt Guild membership is treated as an already-completed vetting process — not duplicated, just confirmed.

Experience counts too

KUTE reflects how competence is actually built — through knowledge, understanding, training and experience together, not one certificate.

Every profile is vetted

Whichever route someone joins through, identity is always verified before a profile goes live. No exceptions.
